I created this comforting tea to include pumpkin, my favorite fall flavor, along with other nourishing superfoods. The collagen is optional, but can provide nutrients that a modern diet might be void of. It’s also the basic building block of skin, hair, nails, bones and joints. Enjoy!
Pumpkin Rooibos Tea
Ingredients:
2-3 Yogi Chai Rooibos tea bags
2 tbsp. fresh pureed pumpkin
½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2-3 dashes of cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
10 drops liquid stevia to taste (raw honey may also be used)
½ cup almond or coconut milk
½ tsp. Collagen Peptides (this is optional, but I use Vital Proteins brand)
Directions:
- Steep tea in 12-16 oz. of very hot water for 5 minutes
- Remove tea bags, then blend all ingredients in a blender (make sure you’re using a blender that is safe for hot liquids)
- Place tea in a mug and add dashes of cinnamon on top (optional)
- Serve immediately while warm and frothy (makes 2 servings)
